Alcohol isn't a necessary part of life. We've just been duped into thinking it is.

Alcohol isn't a necessary part of life.
We've just been duped into thinking it is.

I'm a little fired up this morning. A person close to a woman in the recent challenge group mentioned that she lost her privilege to drink. Um, what? How about it's a privilege NOT TO drink. These ridiculous beliefs that we've been conditioned to believe that alcohol is the way adults get through life, and if you don't drink, you have a problem. And that if you don't consume alcohol, that also means you're deprived of having fun is ridiculous.

Excuse my language, but f*ck those beliefs! Who even started these beliefs? I'll tell you who our parents, our friends, our coworkers, the media, and society as a whole. Alcohol isn't necessary to get through life. In fact, if you NEED alcohol to get through life, that's your first red flag that something may be a little off.

Who wants to drink a substance that can literally kill you if you drink too much? Did you know that alcohol kills more people per year than opiates? But we don't hear about that in the news, do we? There's an alcohol AND opioid epidemic, but alcohol stays hush hush because Big Alcohol doesn't want you to know that. There's no profit if people aren't drinking anymore. I could go on and on, but there are only so many words I can write in a caption, so I'll save that for another day.

Stop following the crowd and educate yourself on alcohol. You'll be surprised at what you find, and it'll be an eye-opener that you've been duped for far too long. It's time to take your power back and stop these beliefs from being passed down to your kids. Be the change-maker!

If you missed out on registering for the challenge, I've got good news for you! I'm extending the registration for the 60 Day Alcohol-Free Challenge until TODAY (2/2) at 9 pm EST. Long story, short I posted something on the Reddit stop drinking forum and had a ton of messages and positive feedback, so I decided to keep it open a little longer. By the way, check out that forum. There are a lot of great stories and posts that may resonate with you.

Click here or message me directly to sign up today BEFORE 9 pm EST!
