Once upon a time... by Alyson Premo

Once upon a time, there was a girl from a small town in Connecticut who felt she was never good enough.

Not pretty enough.
Not athletic enough.
Not outgoing enough.
Not smart enough.

She grew up in a household where "perfection" was expected and led to the small views she had of herself.

She went to college, and started to let herself be free, but not the free you're thinking of. Free of the grips of her mother's hold. Free of the constant criticism. Free of the strict rules.

She drank until she blacked out. Slept with random men, and did not know her worth. She jumped from man to man looking for that love she was missing in childhood.

She got pregnant, and finally knew what love was. Love was putting someone else's needs above your own. The love that only a mother knows. She wondered why her own mother couldn't love her the way that she loved her son.

She made it her mission not to raise her son as her mother had raised her. She did the exact opposite of what her mother did and showered her son with hugs, love, and praise—not knowing that even though she was raising her child differently, the mother wound was still there.

It was still lingering in the background and creeping in in other areas of her life. Eventually, all the emotions she had been suppressing for decades came to the surface, and the only way she knew how to handle it was with alcohol.

She self-destructed until one day she woke up and realized she was in hell. She was drinking morning until night. How did she even get here? It didn't happen overnight. It progressed over years and years of thinking she could moderate. Thinking she didn't have a problem because everyone around her was drinking after work or out to dinner or day drinking on the weekends.

Do you want to know the one person she reached out to when she needed her the most? Her mother.

Her mother got her into detox. Her mother helped watched her son. Her mother, while she may not have been there in ways she needed, she was there at the moment she needed her the most.

That moment was the greatest of her life. While some may question why that it is. It was the day she decided enough was enough. She decided that she couldn't keep using her "issues" as a scapegoat to keep drinking. She decided that her son deserved better, and so did she. She decided to face all her demons head-on. It was messy. But after she finally dissected decades of pain, she was free.

She's now made it her mission to help other mothers just like you. Who grew up not feeling good enough. Who went through life looking for validation in different ways. Who turned to alcohol to cope but may not even know that they did because of the mommy wine culture that is normalized in our society. Who feels like they are juggling everything, and are fearful that they won't be able to "relax" without their beloved glass of wine.

That girl is me, and I want you to feel the freedom that I have today not only from alcohol but also from all the negative self-talk and low self-worth thoughts going through my head. I am so worthy of a life that doesn't include a poison that dilutes who I really am.

I will no longer apologize for who I am. I am strong. I am smart. I am lovable. I am brave. I am so much more than a mother who got addicted to alcohol, and so are you. In order to see that, though, you first have to ditch the booze, which is why I created the 30 Day 1:1 Coaching Program (Bye, Bye Booze...Hello Freedom!).

I see many of you struggling to hold yourself accountable and to get to the more significant issue of WHY you are drinking. The WHY holds the key to your freedom, and that's what we do in our time together. I hold space for you to talk through what is holding you back from an alcohol-free life, and so you can see the strength you have within yourself.

The breakthroughs that can happen in just 30 days are life-changing, but you also have to put in the work. There is no quick fix, and if you're looking for one, you're going to be sadly disappointed. But the 30 Day 1:1 Coaching Program is a positive and actionable start to a life without alcohol.

My question for you is, are you ready to DECIDE that something needs to change? If so, then it's you and me for 30 days full of support, accountability, resources, and, most importantly, a mother who has been through it and understands.

I am only opening up 3 spots because I want to give you my full attention, so once those spots are filled, they're gone. And just because I want you to get started ASAP, I've discounted the program for 3 DAYS ONLY, and then it goes back up to regular pricing. I hope you DECIDE that you and your family are worthy of a mother who doesn't drink to cope with life.
